Award Criteria

The Best of the Boreal award recognizes a group or individual active in the Boreal region that continually demonstrates principles of the Boreal Forest Conservation Framework including research leadership, best management practices, and stakeholder cooperation. In granting this, the selection committee will consider:

• Active concern for the Boreal forest;
• Consistent responsibility in environmental practices;
• Determination and commitment to conservation and ecological protection; and,
• Innovation in actions and solutions.

All Boreal parties, including, but not limited to, governments, First Nations, industry, communities, individuals, and non-government organizations, are eligible for the Boreal Awards.
