Boreal Awards

Presented by Boreal Leadership Council (BLC), the annual Boreal Awards pay tribute to individuals, groups, companies, and governments who are passionate about the protection and the vitality of Canada's Boreal Forest. Award winners work for the conservation and sustainable development of the great Canadian Boreal Forest following the principles of the Boreal Forest Conservation Framework. These leaders, whose determination, creativity, and innovation help sustain the Boreal Forest, are nominated by their peers throughout the year. Winners are selected by a committee comprised of at least one industrial, one environmental, and one Aboriginal member of the BLC.

The annual Boreal Awards gala reunites the most engaged representatives from Aboriginal communities, government, environmental groups, science and industry working together to protect the Boreal Forest. This year, the gala will take place in November, in Ottawa.

And the nominees are...
